Door blauwalgen is het verboden te wakeboarden op het kanaal. Ook de alternatieve locaties zijn nog steeds verboden.

Dear Sir, Madame,
We received an official communication from the Belgian Government – waterways and sea channel - who has issued a ban from 5 till 30 September due to the blossom of the blue algae’s which are a serious healt risk.
Please find the link for the official communication:
The organizer – together with the federation – searched for a solution to move to another location. Unfortunately, at this moment there are a lot of locations suffering bleu algae’s and so a prohibition for watersports on their location. There is no alternative location available.
Therefore the national championship will be cancelled.
